Lower arm maori inspired tattoo flash

Hi,

Here's another flash design in Maori/Kirituhi style. This sketch is the third of 4 lower arm/forearm tatoo designs I created for my new collection.
First I sketched the rough design and then I had to do some really nice black and grey artwork, to make the feathers look real, but also match the koru shapes.

If you are interested in this design, simply click the "buy now" button.
You will be forwarded to the Paypal and order the high resolution image + a linedrawing/sheet with your Paypal account, or VISA and Mastercard.

The files are high quality. jpg's, that can be printed, scaled or forwarded to your local tattooshop, so they can print it for you.

The original size is around 26 x 18,5 cm (10 x 7 inches), but because it's a high resolution image, so you can scale it to adjust it to arm.

Price for this design is 29,75 euro / 40 US dollars.

forearm tattoo design in Kirituhi tribal style

Hi,

Just a nice project today, really enjoying these kind of designs. This one is a mixture of tribal styles and a bit of my own "storm3d-style" ;)

The total height is 22 cm x 8 to 10 cm in width. It's for the inside of the lower arm.

My client wanted some strong traditional triangle patterns, and flowing lines to balance out the tat2.

Just let me know what you think!

Regards, Mark

Kirituhi shoulder and chest tattoo drawing

Hi!

I promised to tell you something about one of my latest tattoo projects, so here it is.

Normally my main part of designs consists of shoulder pieces, but for this design a customer
asked me to do a shoulder AND chest piece in one.

It's really tricky to get it all on a flat sheet of paper, so I needed some sort of body template.
The tattoo only covered the outer side of the left arm (from shoulder to elbow) and the left pectoral muscle.
My customer used a sheet of tracing paper and simple traced the shape of his body. The total template looked like this:

The design had to be maori style and have some nice flowing curles/koru. First I drew the outlines of the maori shapes:

Then I filled the shapes with some traditional lines, triangles and other tribal design stuff.

I take pictures of the design with my Canon EOS 400D and send these photos to the customer. It's a lot quicker than scanning it, because it is on A3 size paper.
The final design is ofcourse scanned in high resolution.

Here are a few shots of the tattoo sketch in progress.

I just received a comment from the customer, that he wants the fills a bit more intricate, instead of the traditional tattoo lines.

So I'll get back to you soon with an adjusted tattoo design.

Maori armband tattoo drawing

Hi there,

I few weeks ago I mentioned a Maori / Kirituhi armband tattoo, but forgot to show you the finished result.

At the moment I'm working on medium size shoulder tattoo piece, which I had to adjust a few times before it was ready to be finalized.

I really like to use the white fern shapes and curles. The "negative space" is formed by the maori fills and triangles. In this design my customer wanted a simple fill with lines and some arrowheads on the lower side of the tattoo. First I used a complete row of overlapping arrows or spearheads, but that was a bit too much. In the final drawing you will see that I only used half this row, to give it a bit more spirit.

Here are the first three pencil sketches of this design:

I will show you the finished result tomorrow, so please check back for more tattoo sketches, designs and other tat2 pictures in maori or tribal style on storm3d.com or this blog.

In the week ahead I'm working on a tattoo design, based on the shoulder tattoo design of Sonny Bill Williams, the rugby player. The customer wants a similar design, so I have to use pictures of Sonny Williams as a reference, and will not copy the actual design of course.

custom tattoo design

Hi,

Yesterday I started on a new shoulder piece for a customer from Colombia.
He wanted a quarter/half sleeve maori design with some elements from shoulder tattoo 147 and 152.

Not to detailed fills and it had to wrap around the arm a little. The total size of the design is 18 cm x 15 cm.

Here's the first two pictures of the design:

The final sketch will follow when the customer is satisfied with this pencil sketch.

I'm also working on a forearm tatoo design, that wraps around completely and has to make a seamless fit. Quite a challenge, I'll post some pictures soon.
